Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton Brunswick Canada, is an actor best known for playing Bo on the Showcase show Lost Girl. Silk was made in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk both were academics. Ilkay was also a director, producer and playwright. Silk is the Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her first memories of playing rehearsals with her mother. Silk appeared in several commercials while she was young. Silk graduated from St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Early theater work includes at least two productions with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto in her quest to act and progress, and then moved to Los Angeles California. She met her future husband, Seth Cooperman, at an acting workshop held in Los Angeles in 2007. The couple was married civilly in December 2009. They renewed their vows on April 10th 2011 at Fredericton in the tradition of a Jewish wedding ceremony after Silk converted to Judaism. Silk Cooperman had a baby boy, her son Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May 2013. Her second son Levi Aaron was born on May 13, 2016. Silk was also nominated in 2009 for Gemini Awards in her role in the role of Cassidy Holland. In 2009 she landed the main character role of Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television show Lost Girl. Silk became pregnant during production of the final season episode. The news was announced to fans of the series in the Showcase pre-show Season Three special on January 6th, 2013. Silk revealed via Twitter, on June 20, 2013 that production had begun on Season 4. The 4th of June, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed the beginning of production for the Fourth season. The CNN Cable News Network named her portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples among their top TV Couples. E! named the couple as the top TV Couple for 2013.
